In the gaming world there are many types of video games and, consequently, there are many types of gamers who are always looking for the best hardware available on the market.
Razer knows this well and for this reason it always
maintains its leadership in the gaming accessories sector by churning out
products that have a very high quality and that are specifically designed to
satisfy any type of user.
Today we will talk about the Naga Hex V2 , the second
version of the mouse dedicated to MOBA players , recently launched on the
market by Razer.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Naga Hex V2 is a mouse for right-handed people of
excellent quality , both from a technical and a constructive point of view.
Inside there is a 16000 DPI 5G laser sensor , which allows
high mobility even on 4K screens or multiscreen configurations. Being dedicated
specifically to MOBAs, we could see that it is not very suitable for precision
work, both in the gaming and professional fields. After all, being an accessory
that focuses entirely on speed, it is normal for precision to suffer!
We therefore advise against using it with programs or video
games that require a precise mouse or your patience will be put to the test.
However, it remains excellent to use even outside of video
games and for normal use, thanks to the DPI selector that allows us to increase
or decrease the resolution, without taking your hand off the mouse.
Razer has worked a lot on the ergonomics of this mouse,
which is actually very comfortable and does not tire the hand and wrist. The
left and right buttons are slightly hollowed inwards to accommodate index and
middle fingers, the central wheel can be clicked both downwards and to the
right and left. Immediately above the wheel there are two buttons that allow us
to increase and decrease the DPI, although we recommend doing it when you are
not playing, being in a slightly uncomfortable position to be reached during
the game.
On the left side, we find the thumb wheel, seven buttons
arranged in a circle and within thumb reach. This circle of buttons pleasantly
surprised us. In the center there is a rubberized surface that allows an
excellent grip between the thumb and mouse even without tightening too much,
the mechanical buttons are therefore easily accessible and it is practically
impossible to click one by mistake.
On a constructive level, the Naga Hex V2 gives an excellent
feeling of solidity . The upper part is in opaque plastic which, in addition to
allowing an excellent grip, hides fingerprints or sweat very well and having
tried it on some of the hottest days of this summer, we can not help but
appreciate.
At the bottom of the mouse we find the mousefeets or ``
Zero-acoustic Ultraslick '' as Razer calls them, which guarantee excellent
smoothness on any surface. Of course then there is the laser sensor in the
center, which is a Philips Twin Eye or PTE (PLN2034 version), used in many
Razer products.
The connection with the PC takes place via a 2.1 m USB cable
entirely covered in fabric braid and with the gold-plated connector , devices
that guarantee both an excellent connection and protection for the cable
itself.
Also present is Chroma , the Razer's customization feature
that through the various RGB LEDs allows you to create color combinations (
16.8 million ) to make your Naga Hex V2 unique.
SOFTWARE - RAZER SYNAPSE
In support of the mouse we find Razer Synapse , software
dedicated to home devices that allows you to customize functions and aesthetics
to have total control of your devices. The various profiles are then
synchronized in the cloud , in order to have them available on each PC with
which you log in to your profile.
We have already told you about this great software in our
review of the Deathstalker Chroma , which obviously presents more customization
possibilities than the Naga Hex V2.
We can decide the lighting mode (fixed, intermittent, based
on clicks, etc etc), the colors to choose from among the palettes already
present or create new ones.
On the functional side we find the button mapping that
allows you to set up to 8 different profile mappings for the 14 buttons on the
mouse, of which the 7 circular ones are specific for MOBAs.
There is obviously no shortage of customizations regarding
the resolution of the sensor and the speed of movement of the mouse, as well as
the Polling Rate to increase the refresh rate for the device.
We then find a section dedicated to Macros , where we can
record and save sequences of actions and then assign them to a button, in order
to reproduce them with a single click.
Finally we have the sections dedicated to Chroma Apps and
statistics . In the first we will find all the applications compatible with
Chroma and which will be able to take control of the mouse lighting
independently, while in the statistics tab we will find all the information on
the use of our mouse divided by date and video game. In this tab we will be
able to see the number of clicks made while playing a specific title, the mouse
movements and many other statistics "for nerds".
