Obviously, not all gamers are willing and able to invest a large sum of money in the purchase of a headset. It is to them that ASUS aims with this product , which aims to raise the bar of quality in a market made up of products that are generally uncomfortable or not very durable. 

As for the aesthetic characteristics of the product , the version of the headphones we tested were completely black and the exposed part of the arc colored blue , but other colors are also available . On both pavilions and on the padding of the arch it is instead possible to notice, among the finishes, respectively the logo and the inscription TUF GAMING .

The first impression we had about the headset is that of a very solid and comfortable product , above all thanks to the invoice of the arch completely in stainless steel and to the padding.both on the pavilions and on the arch in memory foam covered in eco-leather . On the left pavilion there are: a non-removable microphone , a button to activate and deactivate your voice and a wheel to adjust the volume of what we hear. The cable is about one meters long and is coated in plain plastic.

The comfort during the gaming sessions was really surprising for the product: even in sessions lasting more than 4 consecutive hours , the headphones did not bring too much trouble, thanks to the bearings and the incredible lightness of the product (only 294 grams). Unfortunately, the cable jacket feels too weak.

The fixed presence of the microphone makes the use of the headset on the move really complex . Despite this, we gladly stressed the headset by carrying it inside the backpack and confirmed our first impression. The product is solid and comfortable .

Clean sound, suitable for FPS

Not only a very good ergonomics , among the characteristics of the ASUS H3 TUF GAMING the audio quality also stands out . The insulation given by the pressure of the headphones and the leather coating of the drivers is very good , thus facilitating immersion in the game during gaming sessions. The frequency response of the headphones is 20-20,000 Hz . All in all these are average values, if we consider that a healthy and trained human ear can hear frequencies from 18 to 22,000 Hz. During our test we played various titles such as FIFA 20, Call of Duty Modern Warfareand Fortnite, and during all the experiences we were able to distinguish with enough precision all the types of noise present , from cheering to the noise of the ball in FIFA, the storm coming to Fortnite, the footsteps and shots in the latest Call of Duty , game with which we had the best experience. Also with regard to the directional audio we can be quite satisfied , while we cannot say the same thing about the rendering on several levels thanks to the simulated 7.1 Windows Sonic and the 3.5mm jack.

In the experience far from gaming, we tried to listen to music of various genres and we noticed how even with music tracks the ASUS TUF Gaming H3 behave very well: the bass is quite high , but it does not compromise listening to the entire music track. . Even with the movies and videos on the internet we have not noticed any flaws of any kind. In short, the audio quality of the H3 is certainly excellent and suitable for both competitive gaming and the use of multimedia content of various kinds such as movies , music or videos .

As for the headset microphone , the quality is extremely in line with the rest of the headset components . The controls on the headphone pavilion will only allow us to change the microphone , without the possibility of adjusting the sensitivity . During our test, however, we realized that the default one is already excellent in its own right, excluding distant sounds but allowing us to speak without raising our voice. The microphone , although unfortunately it is not removable, is incredibly articulated , so as to give us the opportunity to place it where it is most comfortable.
